Two days of HOT casses covering Search, TIC's, Water Can's, 2nd floor fire attack, Mayday, RIT, Firefighter Survival, Force Entry and more. With instructors from all over southern region. 

Mastering the Mayday (8Hours)

Build your RIT and Mayday Arsenal by mastering skills and putting it all to the test. We will cover the basics and introduce you to new techniques and equipment that can be applied to all staffing levels. This course is 8 hrs of critical decision-making and physical strain to prepare you to save your own. And with our new “command element from the outside,” this portion is provided for the IC and fire ground leaders to help them develop the skills and techniques to assist teams from an outside command element.

Cancel the Engine we use the Can!! (4Hours)

This HOT class will give you all the ins and outs to the water “Can”

One of the most underused tools in our arsenal but when used correctly and aggressively can control fire to allow enough time for isolation or keeping the fire at bay to make that grab or allow the hose crew to get water on the seat of the fire.

You will utilize the “can” along with a thermal during search for victims or the seat of the fire, and even in salvage and overhaul and all this will be done under true live fire conditions.

So goes the first line So goes the FIRE!! (4Hours)

This HOT class under live fire will teach and reinforce the first attack line of the fire. Using the 1 3/4 pre-connect you will learn and experience firsthand what aggressive fire attack is all about with either the smooth bore or fog nozzle your two-person firefighter team will make the rapid push up the stairs to a second-story fire attack while the second pre-connect fire team will be protecting the stairway, “if we lose the stairs we lose the structure” with constant forward progressive movement and flowing water while moving we will establish the mindset of making that Push!!!

Dynamics of Search (4Hours)

Dynamics of search covers the basics of modern search tactics and dives into the data collected from firefighter rescue surveys. Examining data-driven facts and ways to accomplish the search with limited resources. 

We’ll emphasize the why, what, where and how to search. Breaking each component of the search down during the hands-on training and then bringing it all together during realistic scenarios.

Time is not our friend in today’s environment, so we have to put search at the top of the list, prioritizing the life safety of our communities.
